A sandy beige crossed with gray and ivory veins, drawn from the Leccese limestone of Salento in southern Italy. Locals call it la pietra gentile, the gentle stone, because it carves so easily. Tortora is the warm middle of the four tones, neither pale nor heavy.
The 24x24 square spaces grout joints two feet apart, so more of the floor is surface and less is joint. Matte color-body porcelain, suitable for residential and commercial floors and walls.
