A sandy beige crossed with gray and ivory veins, drawn from the Leccese limestone of Salento in southern Italy. Locals call it la pietra gentile, the gentle stone, because it carves so easily. Tortora is the warm middle of the four tones, neither pale nor heavy.
As a 12x24 rectangle it sets in a straight stack or an offset bond on floors and walls. Matte color-body porcelain keeps glare off the surface; suitable for residential and commercial installations.
