Leccese limestone comes out of Salento, the heel of Italy, where it is known as la pietra gentile, the gentle stone, for how readily it gives under a carver's chisel. Perla takes the palest side of it: a white ground with soft veining that leaves a room light and even.
Cut down to 2x2 squares on a sheet just under a square foot, the pattern shifts to a small scale that follows a sloped floor and works alongside the larger sizes in the same color. Matte color-body porcelain, suitable for residential and commercial floors and walls.
