Clear Traction Coating is a clear, topical sealer formulated with hard particles that rise to the surface to add texture and slip resistance. It works on stone, tile, concrete, vinyl, and wood, with minimal change to appearance.

Suitable for areas that become slippery when wet, including showers, bathrooms, pool surrounds, stairways, decks, patios, kitchens, and garages.

Performance details

• Tested per ANSI A326.3; dynamic coefficient of friction greater than 0.50 reported
• Dry to the touch in about 4 hours, light foot traffic after 8 hours, heavy traffic after 48 hours
• Abrasion resistance: 20 mg loss, Taber (1,000 g load, 1,000 cycles, CS-17 wheel)
• Chemical resistance: passes on most common cleaners per ASTM D1308
• Stain and acid resistance: passes 1- and 2-hour exposures to hot coffee, red wine, lemon juice, water, and olive oil per ASTM C1378
• Cures to a UV-resistant film that chemically bonds to the substrate
• 12-month shelf life

Available in 15 oz. and 1 quart sizes.

Test in an inconspicuous area before full application. Slip resistance varies with surface preparation, application, maintenance, and contaminants.
